What causes wrinkles?

Wrinkles are a natural part of the ageing process. As we get older our skin appears thinner, drier and decreases is ability to protect itself from sun exposure, smoking, drinking, other lifestyle factors and use of facial expressions over time. 

In our youth, the body produces natural cells called collagen and elastin that help maintain our skins suppleness. As we age the amount of collagen and elastin decreases, this resulting in wrinkles.  

How do anti-wrinkle injections work?
